CAROLINA WEEK Settings (Canon XA20)

  • Basic set-up for interviews using a Carolina Week wired/wireless mic

The setup to record an external microphone plugged into Input 1 (Left channel). This set-up will also record an external microphone plugged into Input 2 (Right channel) if you set Input 2 to CH2 in the camera menu. Audio Level can be set to A (auto) if you aren’t recording in a very loud environment.

The setup to record an external microphone plugged into Input 1 (Left channel). This set-up will also record an external microphone plugged into Input 2 (Right channel) if you set Input 2 to CH2 in the camera menu. Audio Level must be set to M (manual) if you are recording in a very loud environment.

 

  • Basic set-up for shooting b-roll with natural sound

This is the menu setting to record the internal built-in microphone to Channel 2 (Right Channel). NOTE: An external microphone plugged into Input 1 always records to Channel 1 (Left Channel) regardless of which input CH2 is getting.

 

  • Advanced Interview set-up to record one mic on both channels

This is the menu setting to record an external microphone plugged into Input 1 to Channel 2 (Right Channel). NOTE: An external microphone plugged into Input 1 always records to Channel 1 (Left Channel) regardless of which input CH2 is getting.

 

  • Advanced Interview set-up to record two external mics
